Prevent Turf, Siding, and Patio Furniture Damage: Reflect Defense Anti-Reflective Window Film Installation Guide

Before installing Reflect Defense Anti-Reflective Film, a crucial step in preserving your turf, siding, patio furniture, and car moldings from melting, follow these pre-installation steps for the best results:

  1. Clean Glass Surface Thoroughly: Ensure the glass is immaculate using mild soap and water. Avoid solvents-based glass cleaners like Windex®. For stubborn residues, 85% isopropyl alcohol is effective – let it evaporate fully before film application.
  2. Ideal Glass Temperature: The glass temperature is key. It should be between 40º F and 70º F for optimal application. In warmer climates, apply the film early in the morning when the glass is cooler. Applying to overheated glass may lead to film stretching.
  3. Ensure Dryness: After cleaning, dry the glass completely using a lint-free cloth or industrial-grade paper towels.
  4. Conduct a Film Test: Familiarize yourself with Reflect Defense Film's properties by attaching a small test piece to the glass. This helps understand the film's adhesion strength and other characteristics.

Following these steps will ensure a successful application of Reflect Defense Anti-Reflective Window Film, safeguarding your outdoor spaces and surfaces effectively.

Dry Anti Reflective Window Film Application Instructions

STEP 1

Lift the upper edge of the liner away from the film and fold back approximately 3-6 inches (depending on the size of the film).

STEP 2

Carefully position the film so that it is properly aligned on all sides, then press the upper corners in place using light pressure.

STEP 3

Using your hand or a soft plastic squeegee, lightly press the film in place.

STEP 4

Working from the top of the film to the bottom, continue by peeling away more of the liner and applying light pressure to the film. Continue in this manner until the liner is completely removed and the window film is in place.

STEP 5

Using a utility knife, carefully trim away any unneeded portion of the film.

STEP 6

Finally, squeegee the film from the center and work outward in all directions. Be sure to squeegee the edges firmly in place.
